iOS 5.0.1 Beta Released For iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod Touch And iPad

Apple today released iOS 5.0.1 (9A402) for iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad 2, iPod touch 4G, 3G to developers. The software update brings some important bug fixes, features and improvements for all devices running iOS 5.

To be more specific, iOS 5.0.1 fixes the battery life problems in iPhone 4S and brings back multitasking gestures for the iPad 1, which was disabled in iOS 5.

iOS 5.0.1 beta contains improvements and other bug fixes including:
– Fixes bugs affecting battery life
– Adds Multitasking Gestures for original iPad
– Resolves bugs with Documents in the Cloud
– Improves voice recognition for Australian users using dictation
– Contains security improvements
iOS 5.0.1 beta introduces a new way for developers to specify files that should remain on device, even in low storage situations.

Apple has told AllThingsD that an update for battery life on iOS 5 will be coming in a few weeks. That’s mean we should expect iOS 5.0.1 beta 2 in the next few weeks.
